When you look at this image you can really see two structures that are unique to plant cells. What are those again? What do they look like inside the cells?

I'm glad you enjoyed that. Have you used a real microscope before? Looking at moving things, like the organisms found in a drop of pond water, is really fun.
You can clearly see the chloroplast and cell walls. This reminds me of when i was in fifth grade we used the microscope to look at animal cells. My group didn't use the microscopes yet, but i can't wait for tomorrow to use them.
I looked into this interesting question and it seems that with regular light the best you can get out of our style of microscope is 1500x. That would be cool though. That is almost 4x as powerful as our highest view!
There are electron microscopes that can go WAY higher though.
I really enjoyed this experiment! It was so much fun lookin at the plant. I liked it when you would raise the magnifier. It was really pretty under Nyla and Mariana's microscope. I hope we can do another experiment like this in the near future.
i really enjoyed looking through the microscopes. It was so cool how the cells looked like so close up. I never knew a simple plant has so many cells! I even saw some movement. It was amazing to use the microscope
Hi! I have no idea who you people are, but I found this site looking for plant cells. We recently looked at cells. You should try the cheek cell, an onion cell, and pond critters. They are very cool, but some of the pond critters are speedy! Also, have you ever heard of sewer lice? Probably not. Our science teacher brought them in from her science friend whom discovered them. One, about the size of a dime, has as much protien as a steak! I probably shouldn't say too much, they're still testing on them! Bye!!!

I was wodering what was the highest x (like 1000x) is. Could you see inside the nuclies with that kind of scope?

It is true that some microscopes are better than others in our class set. I will try to make sure that we rotate everyone around the different scopes.
