I am glad you enjoyed setting up the chia heads.

I think that these grass seed plants will allow us to collect some interesting data about how different abiotic factors impact plant growth.

The chia's were a lot of fun to make! And I can't wait to see what they look like after a few weeks! But, I find it a little weird that the chia in the dark have grass and my group's chia (our's is using miracle grow)doesn't have any grass!

Hey Mr. Forde!
I think this project is really cool. I wonder what will happen in the end with the chias. Well now I have something to look forward to! See you in class.
By the way, do you think you could put the Super Jim video on your website? Thanks

I loved making the chia heads(it was fun=D)! I hope the chia heads will grow well. I'm guessing the ones in the darkness will grow in a unique way, though.

I hav a question: does the diagram of photosynthesis have to be on regular lined paper with holes or plain paper with no holes? I know the size is 8 1/2 by 11 but I don't want to do the wrong thing and do it all over again.

Hi Sherene,

I piece of printer paper will do fine.

I predicet that my chia head will grow really good because it gets water sunlight and since i am in the group that talks to the plant it gets C02,and i hade a lot of fun doing it.

so far my chia head has only 1 whisker on it's side. It grows up so fast it even has facial hair. It was really fun

At first I thought that the Chia heads that were in the closet would do bad and not grow that much. But then I realized that the Chias that were on the counter weren't getting a whole lot of light either other than the clieling lights so I was curious to see if the Chias in the closet had grew. When I took a peek at them I noticed that it had'nt effected the growth at all. But I did notice one thing, they were in a yellowish color, but the other chias were more green.

Hey Mr.Forde! I loved the chia head experiment. My chia hair grew really long. I had to put fertilizer in mine. To me the fertilizer didn't have much effect ecause it looks the same as the rest of the chias.

P.S. Happy Halloween!

Hey Mr. Forde,

I was just wondering for the chia head project for the conclusion since my group's chia was kept in the closet why the grass was yellow or a lime green. I forgot the word to describe it.

Thanks,

Alex L. :)
