Hi All,

I am doing this entry from my blackberry. All is well but it is tough to see how much there is to do here. I'll provide updates as the week goes on!

Hi All,

I am working on a habitat for humanity project through my church. I am in New Orleans with 14 other people, including 7 HS kids. We do work on a street called Ferry Place. It is a deveolopment of 4 homes so far. I have been caulking and putting up siding for the past few days.

It is nice down here...but it rained this morning (THURS) so we worked at a food bank instead.

I hope all is well in Stamford!

whats caulking

"Caulking" is when you squeeze this glue like material to seal a crack. When you look at your shower or bath tub you'll see a white material around the edges which seals it up and makes it water-proof. THAT is caulk. I was sealing the windowns and edges of the siding on the house. It was a PAIN to do and often required me to be up on aladder...which is not my favorite thing!

Thanks Izabella,

I am sure that when you are old enough you'll have the opportunity to do stuff like this also. You had to be 16 to be allowed to attend the trip but at the HS level there are many opportuities to help others through clubs and activities.

See you tomorrow!
