We chose these chemicals because they all claim to kill around 99% of the germs. We are testing them on bacteria on the petri dish to see if they actually do what they say.

I thought that the mouthwash would kill 99% of the germs! I was really surprised when I saw that bacteria formed there. It was a little disturbing to know that it might not really kill all your germs...

my group chose vinigur, lysol, and mouth wash and there semed to be a large area that had grown so its definetley working. I am happy to say that there isnt really any bacteria near the mouth wash and lysol though since they are difinfectints. Also I tried to o the homework online and when i opened the lesson page it would exit out of the internet so i was woundering if i could do it in advisory tomorow morning.

I can not believe that the Listerine can't even kill less germs than the control. It makes me think twice about using listerine.

I chose the mouth wash as one of my chemicals to put in the petri dish, and I think that its allowing bacteria to grow because although its supposed to kill around 99% of germs, its meant for a person's mouth, so it can't be very strong (a person's mouth would be affected if it was). Also, the mouth wash might be meant to only attack certain types of germs, so its not killing the ones in the dish.

I couldn't belive that there was a lot of mold growing near and on the mouthwash paper. Even the water keeps the bacteria away!
