Hey Mr. Forde,

I read the article on the broken bones facts. (the website is really usefull) It said that only children can get a bent bone fracture. BUt why cant adults get it? Is it because the adult bones are stronger?

Hi Snaju!

I would imaging that it is because adult bones are done developing and have no growth cartilage left. Adult bones will not bend but snap. What do you think?

So I guess that the since the adult bones are done growing they less sttronger than children's bones. I think thats why adults get arthritis because thier bones are weaker maybe

Thanks,
Sanju :)

Hey Mr Forde,

I found the xrays very intresting. By far this is my favorite unit. This is because when i grew up i want to become a pediatrition. I bought the bone song and my 6th grade sister is even learning some of the bones. Can't wait to learn more!!!

I was surprised by all the different types of bone fractures. This article also helped me understand why metal pins and rods are but in some broken bones.
