The week of 2/23
Hi All,
We started our human body unit last week by tracing a human body and trying our best to estimate the size and location of different internal organs. This was a fun exercise that taught us a couple of things. First, it isn't always easy to determine the size and location of the internal organs. Secondly, tracing your friend can be tough, especially if they are laughing and having their picture taken! Here are a few shots.
We also started discussing body organization and body systems.

Candy DNA movie
Hi All!
Four of my six classes created candy DNA molecules. (Last two next Monday.) This allowed them to review their knowledge of the DNA code of Guanine pairing with Cytosine and Adenine pairing with Thymine. They also tried to simulate the double helix shape.
Here is slide show of the kids at work and their products!

Heredity Cornell Notes and TEST!
Here are the cornell notes for the heredity unit.
Slides 5, 6, and 8 are probably unnecessary this year as we had a shorter genetics unit.
I hope this is helpful.
Don't forget the test is this friday the 13th! Please use any and all genetics notes from your binder also. I will be staying after school on Tuesday for anyone seeking extra help.
