Hi All!
I have started receiving anxious messages concerning the quiz (not test) on Wed. and Thurs. Don't be overly concerned, but Do prepare by studying! now...what will be on the test? Anything we have covered since bones. That includes muscles, digestive system and anything on the respiratory system. I would review my Cornell notes and any hand-outs.
The cornell notes should be updated tonight. Look under the USEFUL LINKS section for the latest version. Or Click Here.
As Louis Pasteur once said, "Chance favors the prepared mind". So prepare!
Mr. F :-)
do we have to know all the pictures and the parts of the body???
ReplyDeleteif so what pictures because there is like 7 or 8 of them
HI there!
ReplyDeleteThe test will be based on your cornell notes since the skeleton (muscles/digestive/circulatory) and any handouts you have stapled in you ISN.
We DID discuss this in class.
Good luck.
Mr. F :-)
where does the carbon dioxide that we exhale come from???
ReplyDeleteHI there!
ReplyDeleteCarbon dioxide is a waste product produced by the mitochondria of all cells. The "powerhouses of the cell" release energy from glucose and oxygen and produce carbon dioxide and water as waste products. This is the process known as respiration. The blood picks up the carbon dioxide from the cells and brings it to the Alveoli in the lungs where the blood drops off the co2 and picks up oxygen to return to the cells of your body.
Sooo...a short answer could be that the co2 that we exhale comes from the mitochondria in our cells. It is produced as our cells produce energy in the process of respiration.
I hope this helps.
Mr. F :-)
