  1. Morning Mr. Forde
I spent some time trying to make my DNA model out of clay and it did not end well. My plan B was to try to make the DNA out pipe cleaners, but I know you already showed us an example of that. Would I be able to give it a try anyway or would you rather have me try to make it out of something else?
Please get back to me a soon as you can
    Thanks so much!

  2. Hey Janine,

Pipe cleaner or clay would be great! You can do something similar to another student. There is nothing wrong with that. I just wanted you not to use twizzlers like we did in class.

It looks like you'll have an extra day to work on this with the snow coming!

  3. Hey Mr.Forde

I took the bone quiz and I wanted to know if we will need to know that for an up-coming quiz.
    Thank You,

  4. Hey Francesca!

I will be giving you a lot more information about bones in the next couple of science classes and then you will have a little quiz of the MAIN bones.

We may even RAP about bones! :-)

  5. Hey Mr. Forde,
I took the bone quiz and surprisingly I did better than i expected. The bones are located pretty much like the names tell you. I have a question, is the brain attached to the skull because I think the skull protects the brain?

  6. I was looking at the skeleton picture you posted and I was wondering if someone could live without one of the bones. I think some bones are more important than others like the spine because it holds up your back. But bones like a finger bone or the Ulna(i dont know what that is) I suppose are less important. Would people with out some bones need to get an operation to get that bone?

  7. I read the article called "Your Bones." It said something that confused me.It's time to look at all your bones — the adult human body has 206 of them!
does that mean that we grow more bones when we grow older?

  9. Hey Sanju,

I think there are some bones that are definitely more important than others. Believe it of not babies have about 350 bones and then the number is reduced to 206 as you mature. Many bones have to fuse together as you reach adulthood. For example the cranium is actually several bones at first that grow together.

Courteney, the song is called 'dem bones and I found it on iTunes. It's a pretty useful rap?!
