Egg-cellent Lab Report!

Hi Students!

Here is a list of the items i expect in your lab write up:

1) A title (on the top of the page)

2) Your testable quetion (from your Think Sheet)

3) Your prediction (from your Think Sheet)

4) Materials

5) Procedure

6) Data Chart (from your lab notebook)

7) Graph (done in excel or on graph paper)

8) Conclusion (What did you learn? What were the sources of error? Did your result match your prediction?)

This should be done in a report format. NO POSTERS. Keep it simple.

  1. Hey Mr. Forde!
I just wanted to know if the graph we have to make is going to be about the same data in our data chart. I just want to make sure.

  2. Hi Melissa,

You will be graphing ONLY your data. You have your before and after data for your own egg for circumference (cm) and weight (gm). This should be on pg 26 in your lab notebook.

    I hope this helps!

  4. Hi Courteney,

You have your data chart in your lab notebook. On that chart you have your befoe and after data from your egg. You measured the circumference and the weight before and after the experiment. I woud like a graph of those numbers. it should be two bar graph with two bars each. One for the weight and one for the cricumference. This will visualiz the change in the data.

Write back if this is unclear.

  10. Hi Mr.Forde,

Can we do a double bar graph instead of on 2 seperate sheets? And can we write instead of typing it?

    *Thanks*

  12. Hey Sanju, More than two pages is fine. I just wanted to avoid receiving aany 10 page reports! :-)

Hi Sherene, A double bar graph would work really well on this assignment. See you tomorrow!

  15. Hi mackenzie,

Your format will be fine. use complete sentences and be detailed with your descriptions and ideas.

    Great bulletin board today!

  16. Hi NIkki,

You are good with that plan. I would discuss the lemon appearance in the conclusion. It really looked weird, didn't it?

  18. Hey Mackenzie,

    here is what you do.

In the top row you have....

    Date - Circumference(cm) - Weight (gm)

In the next rows you enter the dates and numbers WITHOUT and letters. You can not have letters in the cells wth the numbers of it WON'T graph anything.

Then go to the graph tool and see if it works. If it doesn't see me during advisory with your spreadsheet on a jump drive and we'll fix it together.

    Write back if it works.

    Mr. F :-)
