In this experiment I placed 3x more seeds on the left than on the right. What do you think will happen to the growth of each side? Why do you feel that way?

I think that the side with fewer seeds will grow taller because they have more space, but the side with more seeds with be thicker and closer together. Haley
I think that the side with fewer seeds will grow taller because the roots have more room to grow. I also think that the side with more seeds will be shorter but more dense. Jacob
I think that th side that has most will grow faster that the side with less because it has more. The one with less seed will grown taller than the one with the most seeds because it has more room to grow and its not bunched together making it difficult.
I think that the side with less grass seed will grow bigger. I think that the side with a lot of seeds wont grow as quickly becasue it has less room to grow.
I think that the side that has a lot of seeds might grow slower because they are closer to eachother and they could be on top of eachother so they might take a few days slower to grow because it has to fight its way throught the other seeds that are in its way. And I think that the side with the fewer seeds might grow faster.
I think that the right side will grow bigger and faster because they absorb more water and have more room to grow but the left side will be a cluster of grass and will be shorter
I think that they will both grow at the same time. There maybe more strands of grass on the side with the fewer seeds because they have more room to grow.
I think that the side with less grass seed will grow faster and bigger because it has more room to grow. The side with more grass seed will not have enough room to grow because of all of the grass.
I think that both sides will grow just as fast because they are both experiencing the same lighting and are receiving the same amount of water. I think the only real difference will be the growth density. The side with more grass seeds will be thicker in growth while the side with less growth will be thinner.
these are all great predictions. I like the ones that explain their hypothesis.
I think that when there is an overpopulation in any ecosystem their may be some resource issues. Just like the homework we did on Wolves and Moose, plants might overpopulate and area also. Let's see if this simulation teaches us anything. i predict a little growth on Monday.
Mr. Forde, I think the side with the more seeds will have more strands of grass and the side with fewer seeds will have fewer strands of grass. Although, I think the side with the fewer strands of grass with grow taller than the side with more strands of grass because it will have more room to grow and expand. [I hope that wasn't confusing] - Janine M.
I think that the side with less seeds will eventually grow more then the side with more seeds because it's like people eventually they will run out of resources while the less seeds will keep their resources to stay alive
I think both sides will grow at the same speed because they have the same amount of soil, they get the same amount of water, and they get the same amount of light. The only difference is the amount of grass seeds. I also think the side with more grass seeds will gorw to be fuller than the side with less grass seeds.
I think the side with the seeds that are spread out willl grow quicker. Because they will get more water each seed. The more the seeds the less the water
I think that the side with the most seeds will grow more. All though the other side has more growing space, the side with the most seeds will grow more grass. It has more seeds so more grass will grow. I saw the grass today and the side with the most seeds are growing already. The other side is growing too but not as much as the side with more seeds. Im very interested to see what will happen.
i think that in the begining, the left side will grow more plants in the begining, but once a little time passes, the seeds on the right will grow taller because they dont have to share their resources with as many organisms.
i bet that the less populated side will grow more - the roots won't become entangled and the plant will have more water and it will contribute more to the photosynthesis cycle. the grass will have more food and grow more.
I agree with evrybody els. I think that the side with less seeds are going to grow mor since they hav a lot of room. I also think the other sides' roots are going to crash into this sides' roots and then something interesting is going to happen. That side will crash because there are a lot of seeds there, but not a lot of room. **I'm not sur if the crashing thing is really going to happen!
I think that even thought the left side is more populated with more seeds, and the right side has less seeds I still think that the more populated side will grow more. Even thought the side with less seeds has more room it wont froow as fastAslo even though the more populated side has more seeds with less room it will grow more Sam B.
I have no idea anymore which side will grow more because on the over populated side there are more seeds so there are probley more good seeds that will grow tall. And theres the side with less grass seeds, and that might grow more becuase the seeds absorb more water and everything they need to live, and that might make them grow bigger. So i have no idea which side will grow better
I think that both sides are going to be similar to eachother because I don't think that having more or less seeds effects it's growth. I think that our fields are filled with grass similar to the side with more grass seeds. It's not like the side with more seeds is totally covered with them, which i think would be a problem.
I dont really think that the amount of seeds has affected the growth at all because I think we have given it enough time to grow. But one thing that I did notice was that the side with many seeds is all crowded and messed up and is kind of "tangled" together. And the other side with ewer seeds is just growing pretty normally. Another thing is that since both sides are in the same container, water could be traveling around the bottom giving one of the sides an advantage of water. - Sanju S.

I think the one on the right is going to grow faster because I think when you put in alot of seeds the growing method will grow wrong.

I thought that the left side would grow faster because it hade 3times as many seeds and it turns out my pridiction was true

I think that if we wait a few more weeks we can tell if there would be change between the two sides.
i think that the side with the more seeds will grow denser but also shorter, and the side with less seeds will grow longer but not as dense

At this point the side with more seeds is just messed up. And the side with less seeds is growing normal.
I think it will grow the both side same hieght becuse oneside just has more it dosn't make a diiferent exept one side has more grass
