HI All,
If you have any old knee high pantyhose that we could use for an upcoming project I would really appreciate it! I would like to have 20 pairs to cover all of my classes. We will be using them to learn about photosynthesis and the impact of changing abiotic factors on that process.
Here are a couple of images of chias from last year!
Thats is so cool. Cant wait to do the chias
ReplyDeleteI liked this little project kind of thing that we did in class. I learned a lot about ecosystems and most kids would be happy to get the oppertunity to do this with a cool teacher.

ReplyDeleteHi All,
ReplyDeleteYes.. I think this will e a cool way to start a plant off and ask questions about how plants grow and what abiotic factors affect plant growth.
Enjoy the break.

Francesca R.

I really liked creating the chia's in class! It was really interesting. My groups chia is Mawfawman a mix of Alfalfa, Herman, and im not sure what the other name is but i do know the name is a mix of 3. I voted Alfalfa but it ended up turning into Mawfawman. Cant wait to see what happens to the chia's in the end.
ReplyDeleteAlex :)
Hey Alex,
ReplyDeleteMaufaumen is definitely one of the most unusual and creative names I have ever heard!
I hope it does well without the benefit of light! Let's see what happens.
What do you think?
Mr. F :-)
I can't believ the chia-heds grew so much. Especially, the ones in the dark and that they turned yellow. Im guessing they turned yellow because they didn't get sunlight, so they didn't complete the process of photosynthesis.
ReplyDeleteThe first chia was really wetand tall. I think that the chia heads are really cool. I can't wait for Purple Thunder Monkey to grow into a big, big chia head!!
