i got it! you want to get a green gibble bull, becuase u get blue, yellow, and gibbles. i wont put how much money you make becuase some people havnt finished yet.
I am glad to see you r thinking it through. It is a bit tricky but if you are careful the answer for the best bull to buy for 7 and 8 months will present itself to you!
It could be that there are two different bulls that are best for 7 and 8 months.
um mr forde i did my homework but i just wanted to make sure tht the blue bull will sell the most in the 8th month and the green will sell more in the 7th month or the other way around.... u checked it on mon after skool
I can't say yes or no to that because if I did i wopuld be giving away the answer. We'll go over it in class and we'll see if you got it or not! Good work.
I got really confused with my work so im not sure if i got it right or not...........but i think i did some of it right.I was getting confused with all of the money and the bulls and everything. I guess i have to wait till class.!!!
You have to find out what color offspring there are with each dad and how much money they will be worth at the end of 7 and 8 months. Then you must subtract the cost of the bull ($110 for green bull, $220 for yellow bull and $440 for a blue bull).
Is there a specific problem you are having with the calculations?
Mr.Forde i really didn't understand the gibble a & how much there where going to have in 7 or 8 months but i really enjoyed solving the problem thank u so much i really need to know more about science so make us smart and we will be sure to get u that mustang if u r still around
Let's talk tomorrow so I can assist you with this. I am sure we can work it out.
I am glad you enjoy learning about science. Yes, I expect that once you are a rich and famous person that you will be seeing me to deliver my GT500 Mustang. I would prefer it in Black with gold stripes please!
i realized that the greens are the cheapest because they are the most common. No matter what bull you have you always get a least one green gibble.
ReplyDeletei got the answer but im still puting the problem together

Hi Yuliana,
ReplyDeleteI can't say yes or no to that because if I did i wopuld be giving away the answer. We'll go over it in class and we'll see if you got it or not! Good work.

Hi Steph!
ReplyDeleteThe man has 20 green cows (mothers) to work with but the Bull (dad) can be blue (BB), Green (Bb) or yellow (bb).
This is why you must two three sets of Punnett Squares.
Does this help?
Mr. F :-)

yuliana
I did it all but i got the same gibble for 7 and 8 months.
ReplyDeleteHi Again!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about that Yuliana. What's important is showing the work and how you thought the problem through.
We'll go over it together.
Mr. F ;-)
i got it now its green for 7 months and blue for 8 months.
ReplyDeleteI got really confused with my work so im not sure if i got it right or not...........but i think i did some of it right.I was getting confused with all of the money and the bulls and everything. I guess i have to wait till class.!!!
ReplyDeleteSteph A.
How would you decide what color the mother would be????
ReplyDeleteStephanie S.
Hi Steph S!
ReplyDeleteThe man has 20 green gibble cows (Bb). That means that every female is always green. The males can be green (Bb), Blue (BB), or Yellow (bb).
Each of the three Punnett squares will have a green mom and one of the three males (Green, Blue or yellow).
This is how you determine who is the father that makes the most profitable offspring in 7 and 8 months!
How else can I help you weith this?
Mr. F :-)
Hi Steph. A!
ReplyDeleteI am sure that you did fine with the work.
You have to find out what color offspring there are with each dad and how much money they will be worth at the end of 7 and 8 months. Then you must subtract the cost of the bull ($110 for green bull, $220 for yellow bull and $440 for a blue bull).

OMG mr. forde its all clicking in my head. i get it now.
