Food Bank Wrist Bands!

Mr. Forde's advisory has been selling orange wrist bands (see above) for $1 to support the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County. We would like to thank all of the students and staff who supported us. We are ready to donate over $250 to help the needy in our own part of Connecticut!

Thanks so much for caring!

  7. Hi Steph and others,

The genetics sheet for homework has some information about creating the face on the computer.

That part of the assignment is not necessary as we will be in the computer lab next week to continue this assignment together.

If you wanted to do a little hand drawn sketch in the box provided, that would be fine. I am sorry that this wasn't clear.

    Have a great weekend!

  12. Hi Mike!

Yes you were very generous by buying so many braelets!

We will be donating the money this Tuesday when we visit the food bank.

As far as the smileys go, that's fine! I planned on having you do them with me in the lab but I am happy to see that you gave it a shot. Can you save it to your jump drive?

    All the best!

  16. Heterozygous and Homozygous are confusing sounding words!

    Homozygous simply means similar alleles
like, BB or bb. If ou are BB you are homozygous dominant for a trait. If you are bb you are homozygous recessive for a trait.

Heterozygous simply means mixed alleles like, Bb. It can also be called Hybrid.

Let's talk tomorrow if you need more clarification!

    Mr. Forde :-)
