Mitosis vs. Meiosis
Here is a good web site to review the difference between Mitosis (which is used to grow a baby and divide body cells, and Meiosis, (which is used to make gamete cells- sperm and egg). Remember, meiosis result in cells that have 1/2 the chromosomes of a normal body cell.

See my interview with Alisha Mullett of Soundwaters this weekend on News 12.
It is on channel 12 Saturday at 7 am, 10:30, 2 pm and Sunday at 1:30 am, 7 am, 10:30 am, 1 PM, 4:30 pm, 11:30 PM and Monday at 12:30 am.

How did turtles get their shells?
Click here to find out about an exciting fossil discovery that reveals a turtle that is so old that it only had the bottom half of a shell. Scientists believe that this aquatic turtle needed the protection there as that is often how aquatic creatures are attacked, from below.
